Lorain County’s Bicentennial celebration has officially begun! December 26, 2022 marked the 200th anniversary of the day the Ohio Legislature formed Lorain County from parts of Cuyahoga, Medina, and Huron Counties. From now through May 2024, activities and events will bring people of all ages from across the county together in celebration of all that Lorain County has to offer, from cultural festivals and special programs to historic and educational displays and resources. The commemoration of the Lorain County Bicentennial recognizes the proud history and the promising future of Lorain County.
