Lorain County History
December 26, 2022 marked the 200th anniversary of the day the Ohio Legislature formed Lorain County from parts of Cuyahoga, Medina, and Huron Counties. On May 24, 1824, the county officially began to operate. To celebrate the county bicentennial, LCHS offered a monthly speaker series on topics of local history. Selected presentations were recorded:
